Why I left my job…

Hi all,

After 8 years of professional work life (last 5.5 years for Sestek), I decided to leave my current job as 31th of July 2015.

It was a hard decision for me. Because I am earning good money, I am creating successfull projects, I am leader of a good team, I am working as software architect and also writing codes as I always want. My company also is a very good place to work. So, why..?

I left my job to be free to dedicate my full-time to develop the projects I want. I left my job to create awesome products. As like almost all developers, I always wanted to make my own job. From now, I will establish a new and fresh company (not decided to name yet) and freely work for me :)

I’ve currently one commerical product: ASP.NET Zero. It’s purchased by a good number of developers and companies in a short time. I will work full-time for it and  for my open source projects ASP.NET Boilerplate and jTable. Followers of these projects will be happy since these projects will be developed much more rapidly. Also, I’ve some other good project ideas :) I will also be open for new project-based offers and partnerships.

For a while, I will probably be alone. But I hope some of my friends will join me in a short time. I hope this will be good for me and for my open source projects.

Bye bye Sestek, thanks for all good days 😉

    Best of luck.

I really love this idea but at this time, here in KSA, specially in Madina, it is really hard.

I am waiting for a good government policy as I am not Saudi national.

Well, best of luck, In sha ALLAH Azzawajal, ALLAH azzawajal will be with you.

Best of luck… You know me as “natiki” on GitHub. APB and Module Zero are fantastic. Running a small business myself doing what you are embarking on I know how rewarding and challenging it can be at the same time. If I can be of any help please let me know.

Seni tekrar tebrik ediyorum.

      Hi Umar,

jtable gets an object as configuration. So, you can create this object dynamically based on column names retrieved from server. Then pass the object to jtable constructor.

    Hi Halil,
    Congrats ,

After 8 years of professional work life , I’m going to decided to leave my current job too 😉
It’s very hard decision because I earn good money, good workplace, good stable situation ,… I’m afraid.
In fact I have not a strong plan to make my own business yet and just thinking about part time work or doing projects, but I know I must do a decision, make some time for myself to change the game. This topic helped me to be closer to make the decision.

    Dear Halil Ibrahim,

kindly help me in this regard.

Write a client server program in C/C++. Client creates a connection with the server and sends its name and password to the server. Server has a text file, containing name and passwords of different users. If the user name and password is found correct, the server reply back with a message “Authenticated” otherwise send a reply “Wrong username/password” to the client. Send the code of client and server side, as well as the screen shots of how server and client communicate with each other.

      Hi,

Thank you for writing me. But I’m not experienced on C/C++. Even if I have knowledge, I don’t have much time for it, sorry.
I’m sure that you can find samples and tutorials on the web.
